Founded in 2004 by Trevor Macy and Marc D. Evans, Intrepid Pictures is a feature film production and co-financing company. Intrepid has produced and co-financed six pictures to date which have been distributed by Rogue, Universal, and other International distributors. Intrepid’s mandate is to produce and finance commercial features in the action, thriller, horror, and comedy genres, targeting the 12 – 29 year old audience.
Intrepid, which formerly had a first-look deal with Rogue and Universal, co-produced the $82 million worldwide box office hit The Strangers. Currently, Intrepid has The Strangers Part 2 with Relativity Media, aiming for a summer 2009 shoot. Intrepid is also currently packaging action films The Cold Light of Day and The Couriers, the latter based on a series of graphic novels. Also in the works is Blackout, with Hans Rodionoff set to write and direct, based on the DC/Vertigo Mnemovore graphic novels created by Rodionoff.
